The Humboldt County Chamber Check Program has proven to be beneficial to the community and encourages shopping with local businesses and keeping the local economy thriving.
HOW TO ACCET CHAMBER CHECKS
Chamber Checks are to be accepted the same as cash. ONLY Chamber Members can accept Chamber Checks.
REIMBURSEMENT OF CHAMBER CHECKS
Businesses can mail or deliver the Chamber Checks they've accepted to the HC Chamber of Commerce at 30 W. Winnemucca Boulevard. Please include an invoice or receipt indicating the amount due with the checks. This can be done on a weekly or monthly basis, at your discretion. The Chamber will subsequently issue a check to your business.
The Chamber encourages members to provide change when using Chamber Checks, although this is at the discretion of each member. The Chamber will reimburse the member for the full face value of the Chamber Check.

HOW TO PURCHASE CHAMBER CHECKS
Purchasing Chamber Checks is easy. Visit the Chamber office at 30 W. Winnemucca Boulevard, call us at 775-623-2225, or email [email protected] to place an order. Chamber Checks are offered in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $25, $30, $50, and $100. You can purchase them in any desired amount without a minimum requirement. A processing fee of 3.5% applies to qualifying purchases, and a 5% fee is charged for purchases made with a credit card, which helps to cover the printing costs.
CHAMBER CHECK SIGNS
Chamber Check signs notify customers that your business will accept Chamber Checks in exchange for goods sold or services rendered.
USING CHAMBER CHECKS
Chamber Checks may be used at any Chamber Member’s business that chooses to accept Chamber Checks. There are no limitations to the products or services that can be purchased. The Chamber also provides signs that state “We Accept Chamber Checks” to our participating members. If a customer does not see this sign, we encourage them to ask the business if they are a Chamber Member and if they are willing to accept Chamber Checks.
SUPPORT THE WINNEMUCCA AREA AND SHOP LOCAL
It is important to shop with local area businesses who in turn support and donate to local events, schools, charities, community groups and non-profit organizations. An estimated $94,000 in Chamber Checks were purchased last year. That’s $94,000 that stayed in our community!
